Below we list a selection of individuals who might be able to help you and your child, parents should approach a educational pyschologists with the same level of care and attention as a school or college.

East Court Assessment Centre

Michael Thomson and Amanda Cannan offer a Psychological and Educational assessment service for children and adults. We are experienced HCPC registered Educational Psychologists.

We both worked at East Court, a specialist school for a range of SpLDs and dyslexia and are therefore familiar with the kinds of schools and units inspected by CreSTeD and, having taught such children, pride ourselves in providing detailed suggestions for teachers as well as diagnostic assessments. Dr. Thomson was Principal at East Court for 27 years, has written text books on dyslexia and is a recognised expert in the field. Mrs Cannan, as well as a working as a Psychologist at the school, was a Specialist Teacher. We undertake diagnostic assessments, DSA and exam concession assessments as well as reports for Tribunal purposes. We also have an HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist- Sarah Wall, who also worked at East Court - in the practice.

Monsen Associates

Dr Jeremy Monsen is a chartered and registered educational and child psychologist. He runs a private practice, largely based in the Greater London area (although travel to other places, including overseas, is by negotiation), covering the full range of work associated with children, young people, families and schools.
